The Travel Word Has Relaunched After 40 Score Articles and Two Years (Ago Today)

Several months ago, we knew that precisely two years – and more than 800 published articles – since the birth of The Travel Word would be a perfect time for a facelift. While we are very fond of the old face, some of what we put in place was always only going to be temporary. That that ‘temporary’ stuck for 24 months speaks to just how busy we’ve been.

‘Getaway,’ Australia’s most popular televised travel show, has made the Italian capital of Rome the latest Urban Adventures destination to be brought into Australian homes. Taken under the wing of a local Urban Adventures guide, ‘Getaway’ presenter Catriona Rowntree took a leisurely three-hour stroll through this romantic European metropolis, following the pages of Elizabeth Gilbert’s best-selling book, ‘Eat Pray Love.’
