Wild Asia’s Responsible Tourism Awards 2012: Now Open!

The annual Responsible Tourism Awards, developed by Wild Asia to reward accommodation providers throughout Asia who are making a difference, is now accepting applications. Launched in 2006, the Wild Asia Responsible Tourism Awards are back for 2012 with a new selection of categories to honour innovative businesses that have excelled through the practice of responsible tourism.

Travel2Change Sustainable Community Projects in Kenya, Peru, Sri Lanka and Brazil

Projects in Kenya, Peru, Sri Lanka and Brazil have been announced as the winners of the first travel2change idea challenge. Over 500 members joined the travel2change online community since its launch in late April 2011, and submitted around 60 innovative project proposals. The submitted ideas were evaluated based on creativity, effectiveness, impact, feasibility and sustainability.

An Interview with Yolanda Clatworthy, the Ultimate Triptrotter

For five weeks, Triptrotting has searched for the ‘Ultimate Triptrotter’ to have the ‘Ultimate Triptrotting Summer Experience.’ With over 300 entries and dozens of videos, they had their hands full. On June 9, 2011, a decision was finally made and Yolanda Clatworthy, an International Relations student at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, was picked as the winner. Now you get to meet her!
