Take a quick trip through the Andes and over the Altiplano with this week’s video spotlight. Well-paced time-lapse footage follows winding mountain paths across Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador, offering breathtaking views of ragged mountain tops, ancient monuments and local city life along the way.

One of the most notable destinations that can be seen in the video is undoubtedly Salar de Uyuni, the vast salt flats of Bolivia. These transformed remnants of prehistoric lakes, along with their surrounding hot springs, geysers and volcanoes, make for some amazing tours in the area.

The Legendary Lost City of Machu Picchu needs no introduction. It looms over Peru’s majestic Urubamba Valley from approximately 7,000 feet in elevation and is often the final destinations for many tours across Peru, including the famous Inca Trail. Don’t forget to check out other great destinations in Peru, such as Colca Canyon, Cusco or the Sacred Valley.

These are but a few of the countless places to venture to in South America, so get off the beaten track, capture your adventures and inspire fellow travellers on their journey to the great unknown!
